Personally, I wouldn't risk putting them in one cage together as quakers are very cage territorial and some have been known to kill cockatiels. But the thing with sand paper perches is you CANNOT leave them in the cage. Hi everyone, I thought it might be a good idea to start a thread where members can post their personal experiences with keeping different species of parrots (or other birds) together, whether in the same cage, living separately and interacting outside of the cage, or simply being in the same room in separate cages. So 2 things. 1 VERY IMPORTANT even clipped parrots can fly. Given a puff or 2 of wind, a sudden fright, and a frightened, full grown amazon will be able to fly away, even if clipped.
